Compact Rock Week 18

Updated: Jul 1, 2020

A rather melancholy edition of Compact Rock this week. This week we mourned the passing of Bill Withers and Adam Schlesinger of Fountains of Wayne. This is what we played for you. This week, Dogs On Mars was the Local Orange Peel.

HOUR ONE:

The Living End - Prisoner of Society

Dropkick Murphys - Barroom Hero

Bad Religion - Incomplete

Pennywise - Bro Hymn

Dishwalla - Counting Blue Cars

Soundgarden - Outshined

Green Day - Nice Guys Finish Last

Eve 6 - Leech

Elastica - Car Song

The White Stripes - Dead Leaves And The Dirty Ground

Fuel - Hemorrhage (In My Hands)

The Wallflowers - 6th Avenue Heartache

The Violent Femmes - Gone Daddy Gone

Red Hot Chili Peppers - My Friends

HOUR TWO:

Dogs On Mars - Freak

Dogs On Mars - Pathetic Life

Cracker - Teen Angst

The Magnificent Bastards - Mockingbird Girl

311 - Freeze Time

Incubus - Circles

Silverchair - Pure Massacre

Fountains Of Wayne - Radiation Vibe (Live)

Fountains Of Wayne - Hackensack

The Eels - Novacaine For The Soul

Lenny Kravitz - Let Love Rule

Bill Withers - Lean On Me

Shades Apart - Valentine

Warren Zevon - Desperados Under The Eaves

Fountains of Wayne was one of my favorite bands of the 90's, so this one hurt. And Bill Withers is just an icon. So this was an interesting show. The pandemic has changed everyone's lives, but we will move on and we will get through it. As always we appreciate you listening. Check us out on Social Media. Stay tuned for more Compact Rock next week!
